The Robotics Automation Technician will play a critical role in our East London manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial robotic arms and automated conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot complex PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface) issues.
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and vision systems to ensure high-precision manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate new robotic modules into existing production lines.
- Maintain detailed technical logs and documentation for all maintenance activities and system upgrades.
- Ensure all automated systems comply with international safety and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in PLC programming and industrial automation protocols.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with FANUC, KUKA, or ABB robotic systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education
A National Diploma or BTech in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory for this position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience working with industrial automation and robotic systems within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience in troubleshooting automated assembly lines is highly preferred.
Salary
