Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our conservation programs, as well as developing and implementing new projects and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field, as well as significant experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and support to conservation programs
  • Develop and implement new projects and initiatives
  • Manage and lead teams of conservationists and project staff
  • Engage with stakeholders, including government, business, and civil society
  • Develop and manage budgets and project plans

Required Skills

  • Strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or related field
  • Significant experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

Experience

5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, project management, or a related field

Salary

R 600,000 – R 800,000 per annum
