Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Cultural Heritage Curator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital strategies to preserve and promote South Africa’s cultural heritage. The position requires a strong understanding of digital technologies and their applications in cultural heritage preservation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital strategies to preserve and promote South Africa’s cultural heritage
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and acquire digital cultural heritage content
- Design and develop digital exhibitions and experiences
- Manage and maintain digital collections and archives
- Conduct research and analysis on digital cultural heritage trends and best practices
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in digital cultural heritage preservation and promotion
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and their applications in cultural heritage preservation
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
