Cost Accountant Jobs at Cape Herb & Spice
As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and reporting all financial and operational costs associated with the Tea manufacturing division.
You will support decision-making through cost reporting, inventory controls, production accounting, KPI tracking, budgeting, forecasting, process improvement, ERP system management, and operational analysis while ensuring strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting.
Professionals with experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, stock reconciliation, operational reporting, financial modelling, process improvement, and ERP systems are encouraged to apply.
Key Job Responsibilities
Costing & Financial Analysis
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs across all business departments.
- Perform detailed costing calculations covering:
- Imports
- Exports
- Production activities
- Supply chain costs
- Analyse cost trends and identify areas for profitability improvement.
- Prepare cost reports to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency programs.
Inventory & Production Accounting
- Ensure effective inventory management and stock accuracy.

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in annual budgeting processes for:

Education Requirements
Minimum Qualification
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting
OR - CIMA Qualification (Management Accounting)
Additional qualifications in finance, cost accounting, business analytics, supply chain finance, or manufacturing accounting will be advantageous.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should possess:
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing costing
- Strong exposure to:

- Practical experience working with manufacturing operations teams.
Mandatory Requirement
- ERP System Exposure (Non-Negotiable)
