Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with C‑level and senior IT stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into Azure cloud solutions.
  • Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, demos, and proof‑of‑concepts that showcase the value of Microsoft cloud services.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to craft tailored proposals, pricing models, and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Azure services, licensing, security, compliance, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide pre‑sales technical support, including solution architecture, sizing, and migration planning.
  • Partner with Microsoft partners and system integrators to co‑sell and co‑deliver solutions.
  • Track and report on sales pipeline metrics, forecast revenue, and contribute to quarterly business reviews.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes affecting cloud adoption in South Africa.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and serverless architectures.
  • Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience with enterprise licensing models, subscription billing, and cost optimisation.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and local data protection regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or specialised certifications in cloud computing will be considered an advantage.

Experience
