We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Heritage Preservation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital preservation strategies for our cultural heritage collections, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to promote the use of digital technologies in heritage preservation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital preservation strategies for our cultural heritage collections
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote the use of digital technologies in heritage preservation
- Conduct research and analysis to inform digital preservation practices
- Develop and maintain digital preservation policies and procedures
- Provide training and support to staff and stakeholders on digital preservation practices
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Digital Heritage Preservation or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in digital heritage preservation or related field
- Strong knowledge of digital preservation technologies and practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Digital Heritage Preservation or a related field. A Ph.D. in Digital Heritage Preservation or a related field will be an advantage.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in digital heritage preservation or a related field. Experience in a research-intensive university or cultural heritage institution will be an advantage.
Salary
The salary for this position is R 60000 – R 80000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
