Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainable Water Management Specialist to join our team in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation, and water management, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve our conservation goals.

As a Sustainable Water Management Specialist, you will work closely with our conservation team to develop and implement strategies for sustainable water management in our conservation areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable water management strategies in our conservation areas
  • Conduct water quality monitoring and assessment in our conservation areas
  • Collaborate with our conservation team to develop and implement conservation plans
  • Provide technical support to our conservation team on water management issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other conservation organizations

Required Skills

  • Strong background in environmental science, conservation, and water management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and implement sustainable water management strategies

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

Experience

5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, water management, or a related field

Salary
