Job Overview

The Solar Project Development Manager will lead the end‑to‑end development of utility‑scale solar projects from site identification through to commercial operation. Reporting to the Head of Renewable Energy, the role involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, financial modeling, regulatory compliance, and coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential solar project sites across South Africa, focusing on land availability, grid connectivity, and resource potential.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including technical, financial, and environmental assessments.
• Develop detailed project proposals, financial models, and investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations with landowners, utilities, government agencies, and financing partners.
• Secure necessary permits, licences, and approvals in compliance with national and provincial regulations.
