We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Associate to join our Clinical Research & Development department in Gqeberha. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-study, initiation, routine monitoring, and close-out visits at clinical trial sites.
- Verify that clinical trial data is accurate, complete, and verifiable from source documents.
- Ensure investigator sites comply with the clinical trial protocol, GCP guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage investigational product accountability, tracking shipments, storage conditions, and usage.
- Prepare detailed monitoring reports and follow up on outstanding action items.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and South African clinical trial regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with trial site staff.
- Proficiency in clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.
Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a closely related medical field from a recognized tertiary institution.
Experience
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of active experience as a Clinical Research Associate within the pharmaceutical or clinical research organization (CRO) industry is required.
