Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ESG research and due diligence on potential financing projects.
- Develop financial models that incorporate sustainability metrics and impact assessments.
- Assist in structuring green bonds, sustainability‑linked loans, and other ESG‑centric products.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory developments related to sustainable finance and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ESG criteria into existing financial products.
- Support client engagements by providing expertise on ESG integration and reporting.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in financial modelling.
- In‑depth knowledge of ESG frameworks such as SASB, GRI, and TCFD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as CFA, ESG Analyst, or a Master’s degree in Sustainable Finance are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or asset management with a focus on ESG or sustainable finance. Experience in the South African regulatory environment and familiarity with local sustainability initiatives will be advantageous.
Salary
The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 450,000 to SSP 650,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and long‑term incentive plans are also part of the compensation package.
