Key Job Responsibilities (JD)
The Project Planner will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera Project Planner P6
- Supporting engineering, procurement, and construction teams with project planning activities
- Monitoring project progress, schedules, milestones, and deadlines
- Identifying schedule risks, delays, and mitigation strategies
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Assisting in estimating, tendering, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Reviewing project performance and reporting deviations from baseline schedules
- Supporting contract administration involving NEC and FIDIC contract frameworks
- Providing planning support across multiple engineering disciplines
- Ensuring alignment with project management methodologies and company standards
- Maintaining strong adherence to health, safety, and behavioural-based safety principles
- Preparing reports, progress updates, and project documentation
Candidates with experience in construction scheduling, civil engineering projects, infrastructure development, mining projects, industrial projects, engineering planning, tender preparation, project coordination, and risk analysis will have an added advantage.

Education Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or a relevant discipline
- Additional certifications in Project Management, Planning, Scheduling, or Construction Management will be advantageous
- Professional training in Primavera P6 is highly preferred
Experience Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates should have:
- Proven experience as a Project Planner, Planning Engineer, Scheduler, or Project Controls Specialist
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Knowledge of estimating, tendering processes, construction techniques, and work methods
- Experience using Primavera Project Planner P6
- Understanding of risk management methodologies
- Knowledge of contract forms such as NEC and FIDIC
