Unilever is looking for a results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations for its FMCG portfolio in Durban and surrounding regions. The successful candidate will manage retail and distribution channels, implement strategic sales plans, and drive revenue growth.
This role requires a dynamic sales professional capable of leading a regional sales team, expanding market presence, and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners. The Area Sales Manager will analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and optimize product availability and visibility across retail outlets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement area sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
Lead and mentor a regional sales team
Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts
Monitor sales performance metrics, KPIs, and territory reporting
Conduct market research and competitor analysis
Implement trade marketing initiatives, promotions, and merchandising strategies
Ensure product availability and shelf visibility
Identify new business opportunities and market segments
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to enhance customer experience
Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports
