Job Overview

Groote Schuur Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive healthcare services in Cape Town. The role involves patient care, assisting in medical procedures, and maintaining hospital clinical standards.

Candidates should demonstrate clinical competence, patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment plans.

Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies.

Assist physicians in diagnostics, surgeries, and clinical interventions.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Implement infection control and safety protocols.

Educate patients and families on healthcare management and disease prevention.

Participate in emergency response and critical care.

Collaborate with healthcare teams for care planning and patient management.

Supervise junior nurses and provide clinical guidance.

Uphold professional ethics and patient confidentiality.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing

Registration with the South African Nursing Council

3–5 years clinical experience

Knowledge of patient care, clinical procedures, and ethical standards

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Flexibility for shift work, nights, and weekends

Salary & Benefits

Annual Salary: Approximately ZAR 360,000 – ZAR 480,000 per year
