Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer smart water networks incorporating sensors, SCADA systems, and cloud‑based analytics platforms.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and risk assessments for water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, data scientists, and field technicians to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
• Develop and validate algorithms for leak detection, demand forecasting, and energy optimization.
• Lead pilot projects, monitor performance metrics, and produce detailed technical reports for clients and senior management.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and post‑implementation phases.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in water management.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in water distribution modeling tools (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS) and IoT platforms.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA, and data communication protocols (Modbus, MQTT).
• Experience with data analytics languages such as Python or R, and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
• Effective communication skills for client presentations and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Project management experience, including budgeting and scheduling.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in water resources management, IoT, or data analytics are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Experience

Salary
