Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forensics Specialist to join our team in Richards Bay, South Africa. As a Digital Forensics Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping our customers investigate and respond to cyber security incidents, by analyzing digital evidence and providing expert testimony. You will work closely with our customers to understand their unique needs and challenges, and provide tailored solutions to help them protect their digital assets and prevent future incidents.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital forensics, with experience in analyzing digital evidence, conducting investigations, and providing expert testimony. You will be proficient in a range of digital forensics tools and technologies, including EnCase, FTK, and Volatility. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, stakeholders, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct digital forensic analysis of computer systems, networks, and mobile devices to identify and analyze digital evidence
• Provide expert testimony in court proceedings and other legal forums
• Develop and maintain digital forensics tools and procedures to stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies
• Collaborate with customers to understand their unique needs and challenges, and provide tailored solutions to help them protect their digital assets
• Stay current with industry trends and developments in digital forensics, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and solutions

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in digital forensics or a related field
• Proficiency in digital forensics tools and technologies, including EnCase, FTK, and Volatility
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required for this position. Relevant certifications, such as EnCE or CFCE, are also desirable.

Experience

5-7 years of experience in digital forensics or a related field is required for this position. Experience working with law enforcement agencies or other organizations in the cyber security industry is also desirable.
