Job Overview
The Retail Operations Analyst will work closely with store managers, regional directors and the corporate analytics team to monitor key performance indicators, identify trends and recommend actionable improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean and analyze sales, inventory and foot‑traffic data from over 150 stores in the region.
- Develop dashboards and visual reports using Power BI or Tableau to communicate performance trends to senior leadership.
- Identify gaps in stock availability and work with supply chain partners to implement corrective actions.
- Support pricing and promotion teams by evaluating the impact of markdowns and special offers on margin and volume.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis for under‑performing stores and propose evidence‑based improvement plans.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance data collection processes and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance summaries that align with corporate KPIs.
- Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at improving the overall customer experience.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and data quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Knowledge of retail metrics such as sell‑through, gross margin, and inventory turnover.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with certifications in data analytics or business intelligence are highly regarded.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in retail analytics, operations analysis, or a similar role within a large‑scale consumer goods environment. Experience with ERP systems and point‑of‑sale data is advantageous.
Salary
