Job Overview

This role focuses on designing and developing interactive digital learning modules for K-12 and higher education institutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, instructional designers, and software developers to create engaging, curriculum-aligned content that leverages emerging technologies like AI-driven adaptive learning and gamification. The position is based in Potchefstroom, a hub for educational innovation in the North West Province.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive e-learning modules using tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, and LMS platforms
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to align content with national education standards
  • Integrate multimedia elements (videos, animations, simulations) to enhance user engagement
  • Test and refine digital learning solutions based on user feedback and analytics
  • Stay updated on global EdTech trends and incorporate best practices into module design

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and content management systems
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and curriculum design
  • Experience with responsive design for mobile and desktop platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Basic knowledge of HTML5/CSS for custom module enhancements

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field. A postgraduate qualification in Educational Technology is advantageous.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in educational content development, preferably in EdTech environments. Prior experience with South African curriculum frameworks (CAPS, NQF) is preferred.

Salary

35,000 – 45,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
