Key Responsibilities
- Design and model energy storage systems (ESS) for solar, wind, and hybrid applications
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for energy storage projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESS with existing power infrastructure
- Monitor system performance and optimize efficiency using data analytics tools
- Ensure compliance with national and international energy safety standards
Required Skills
- Expertise in lithium-ion, flow battery, or other energy storage technologies
- Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., HOMER, PVsyst)
- Strong project management and client communication skills
- Knowledge of South African energy regulations and grid requirements
- Experience with SCADA systems for real-time energy monitoring
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Renewable Energy Systems
- Postgraduate qualification in Energy Storage or related field (preferred)

Salary
