Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AI ethics policies aligned with local and international regulations.
  • Conduct audits of AI systems to identify ethical risks and compliance gaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI development cycles.
  • Provide training and guidance on AI ethics to stakeholders, including developers and executives.
  • Monitor emerging AI trends and update compliance strategies accordingly.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in AI ethics frameworks, data privacy laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating AI system impacts on society.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) in AI ethics or technology governance are preferred.

Experience

3–5 years in AI ethics, compliance, or technology governance roles. Experience in South African regulatory environments is advantageous.

Salary

800,000 – 1,200,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
