Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Analyst will support the full lifecycle of solar and wind projects across South Africa and the wider region. Responsibilities include conducting technical and financial feasibility analyses, preparing project documentation and coordinating with engineering, finance and legal teams to meet regulatory and commercial requirements.
You will engage with government agencies, local communities and international investors to secure permits and financing, contributing directly to the country’s clean energy goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical and economic feasibility studies for solar and wind projects.
- Develop project proposals, financial models and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with engineering, legal and finance teams to compile comprehensive dossiers.
- Assist in obtaining permits, licences and regulatory approvals.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets and timelines, providing status reports.
- Engage with local communities to ensure social and environmental compliance.
- Support preparation of grant applications and financing packages for investors.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel or PowerBI.
- Knowledge of solar PV and wind turbine technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for report preparation and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with South African energy regulations and environmental impact assessments.
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management, finance or sustainability are a plus.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy project analysis, feasibility studies or related fields, preferably within the South African market.
Salary
